A Young Boy
One day a young schoolboy was caught in a fire in his school very badly & was assumed that he would not live & his mother was told that he was sure to die. That accident injured his half lower body if he were to survive; he would be a cripple throughout his life.
The boy takes this situation bravely because he did not want to die, nor did he want to be a cripple & he did survive. But unfortunately, his waist no motor ability & his thin legs dangled there, lifeless. Ultimately he was discharged from the hospital, but his willpower to walk was indomitable. At home, one day he is not in bed & he was confined to a wheelchair. One day he throws itself from the chair & pulled himself to the ground across the glass & dragging his legs behind him. He reached the picket fence, raised himself, and then stake by stake, he began dragging himself along the fence, his resolve to walk undeterred & he repeats this every day with his inner willpower. With his willpower & resolute determination, he develops his ability to stand up, then walks & then to run.
He began to walk to school, then run as well & run for the sheer joy of running. He makes a track team in his college life. A young boy who was not accepted to expected to survive & who could never walk, who could never hope to run – this determined young man, Dr. Glenn Cunningham, ran the world’s fastest mile. Yes, his name is Dr. Glenn Cunningham who creates history.
A Homeless Father
A boy’s life is typical just because his parents separated & his stepfather was physically abusive to his mother and siblings. His mother was falsely convicted twice because of his stepfather’s allegations. The boy had no one to take care of them, & he along with his siblings, so he stays in a foster home at age of 8. His first marriage was failed due to his wish of opting out of a medical career & he cheated on his wife. His girlfriend deserted him due to his deteriorating financial conditions & he fails in his job as medical equipment too. The worst part is he stayed with his son at a motel or park, airport & public toilet. He toiled incessantly at a brokerage firm during the daytime, stood in long queues to sleep under a roof at night.
After passing the licensing exam in 1982 & he becomes a full-time employee of Dean Witter. He is established a brokerage firm Gardner Rich & Co. in 1987 in which he owns 75% of the stock. In 2006 he sold a small stake in Gardener Rich in a multi-million dollar deal. His life was portrayed in a Hollywood film – The Pursuit of Happyness – which not only went on to be a blockbuster but was also loved by audiences worldwide. His name is Chris Gardner
